CHOOOSE GROWTH
It pays to be growing. Growth means you are expanding. There are many ways we can better ourselves.
When you choose growth, you train yourself to look for opportunity.
HOW MANY CHOICES DOES A PERSON MAKE IN A DAY?
Everyday you wake up and have to make choices.
From the moment you open your eyes until you fall asleep again, your day will be filled with choices.
How do you think your life will change if you’re paying complete attention to each step as you take it?
How many times a day do you fall into habit? I’ve had those moments where I start driving and before I know it I arrive at my destination without even realizing it. Some of my behaviors are so locked-in, they become thoughtless.
Make sure you’re not just following through on habit because it’s habit.
Purposefully take action. Choose growth.
ARE YOU ACTING OR REACTING?
Ask yourself what goal you have in your mind. Then think about the affect your actions have on you and others. The more conscious we are of our actions and time, the more we can do to achieve the outcomes we want.
In order to harvest a crop in the near future, you need to plant the seeds now. You need to water them. A seed can’t grow on it’s own. Help it take root and grow. It needs nutrients from the world around it. It needs help. So make sure you give it some if you want to see it get bigger.
And if all goes well, then you’ll get to enjoy the harvest.
Not every seedling will develop the way you want. Some may not grow at all. But the more you practice, encourage it, feed it, and care for it, the better your chances.
The reality is we are all farmers. You have the chance to grow and develop yourself. Right now. This is it.
If it doesn’t work the way you want, consider what went wrong. Adjust. And try again. The only time you’re guaranteed not to succeed, is when you don’t try. By choosing a growth mindset you can accept that things may not always be what you consider a success, but that’s part of the process. You didn’t fail, you’re just in the course of learning. That’s what trial and error looks like. That’s what growth is.
YOU BUILT THE WORLD YOU LIVE IN, INCLUDING THE WALLS.
No one else knows exactly how you think.
We are all born into certain environments, but we create our own mental view to deal with that environment. Question the views you are applying to your life. Seek to understand them.
You know what actions you’re taking and not taking. You know what actions you could take to improve.
Don’t fight to maintain your own limitations. You’re the one that reinforces them. Don’t blame others for what you are doing to yourself. Choose growth.
